Des Moines Christian Theater presents Disney's The Little Mermaid November 14-16 in the DMC Performance Hall. Our DMC community is invited to watch our cast and crew of more than 40 DMC students perform this beloved children’s classic. Tickets are $10 and $5 for students. When did you start participating in theater at DMC? 
I started my sophomore year, which is when I transferred to DMC.

Have you had a favorite role? 
My favorite role is hands down Mordrid from Camelot and Camelittle. I enjoyed being the funny, scared, sidekick to Morgana.

What does being a part of this musical mean to you? 
This group is like family to me. Every day we are here to help and uplift each other. It's an honor to be a part of such a hard-working team. 

Bea was the student designer for The Little Mermaid promotional materials. How was that experience for you? 
It was very fun! When I learned that the musical poster was made by Graphic Design II students, I instantly knew it was something I wanted to do. I spent a lot of hours making the poster, and I'm proud of how it turned out.

Why did you want to audition for The Little Mermaid and what has your experience been like? 
I had always wanted to audition for the shows in past years, but I just didn’t have the time to fully commit to the production. Now that it’s in the fall, I was able to audition, especially considering it’s my senior year, and I didn’t want to miss out on anything I have wanted to be a part of. It’s been a great learning experience for me, and I’ve had a blast rehearsing. We’ve got a great cast of hard-working high schoolers, and the end product will something you won’t want to miss! I hope it’ll be just as much fun to watch for you as it is for us!
