Julia Veenstra
Head of Advancement

Mrs. Veenstra leads the DMC Advancement team, bringing both analytical expertise and creativity. Admissions, Database Management, Development, Marketing, and Communications comprise the Advancement Team.  Advancement connects all families to the student experience and cultivates relationships to ensure the school's long term financial sustainability.

With a tenure of more than 20 years, Mrs. Veenstra has watched DMC grow and made connections with generations of DMC families. She began her career at DMC in 1999 and has held various leadership positions at DMC including Director of Finance and Human Resources and Director of Finance and Operations.

Prior to joining DMC, Mrs. Veenstra was employed by Neodata/EDS and served in various roles including staff accountant, controller, division controller, and general manager of operations supporting domestic and international programs for clients including Nestle and Kraft. Prior to EDS she worked as a CPA for Coopers and Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) and audited clients in healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and insurance. Mrs. Veenstra holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Dordt College (now Dordt University). She serves as a Board Member for the Heart of Iowa STO.
