For the first time in DMC history, the Lions baseball team is advancing to the 2A State Championship! The Lions defeated North Linn 4-2 in extra innings on Thursday.

The championship game takes place at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 1 at Principal Park against Van Meter. DMC fans to can purchase $12 discounted tickets before midnight July 31. Tickets then increase to $14 online. The team will be in the dugout along the third base line. Purchase tickets now.

If you can't join in person, The Iowa High School Sports Network will broadcast the tournament via TV, app, and livestream. You can also watch the game live on Mediacom channel 22.

A Welcome Home Reception for the team will be held August 1 at 4:30 p.m. (approximately, depending on length of the game). Join us in congratulating the team on an amazing season when they arrive back at school after the tournament. Enter through the main gate and proceed to football seating.
