Student Activities

Student life at DMC is about being part of something bigger than ourselves. As a Christ-centered community, we treasure a culture in which students find a place to belong, the environment to flourish, and the relationships and memories they’ll carry for a lifetime.  With plenty of ways to get involved and try new things, there’s something for everyone.  Students are inspired to explore, challenged to grow, and equipped to make a difference. Best of all, we’re doing it together.

Mission Trip

More than 90 students and chaperones are participating in our 20-21 mission trips to Honduras, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic. Thank you for considering a gift to support students who are ready to take the Gospel abroad and impact the world for Christ. Our goal is to raise $50,000 to make this trip possible. You can donate to the trips as a whole or to an individual student. Thank you for your support.

Des Moines Christian School seeks to promote the development of the whole person through a variety of programs and activities. Opportunities for participation in the life of DMCS outside the classroom give our students a chance to explore the many talents God has given them. Our membership in the West Central Athletics and Activities Conference (WCAC) allows the students to compete in sports, fine arts and academic competitions. The extra-curricular activities program is designed to help students develop Christian friendships, learn social interaction, develop leadership abilities, and glorify Christ.

DMCS currently provides students the opportunity to compete with Urbandale High School athletics for wrestling, boys tennis and girls tennis. Our students also have the opportunity to participate in swimming and diving at Johnston High School. Your city of residence does not determine the location for sharing of a sport not offered at DMCS.
